Manage > Also create global OWL Properties

This feature is available from the Manage Tab of Ontology asset collections. If activated then creating a new SHACL property shape will also produce an owl:DatatypeProperty or owl:ObjectProperty.

Note

SHACL does not require or encourage the use of global property axioms including OWL property definitions. Keeping declarations in both languages in synch is often a problem.

An alternative to using this feature is to create ontologies using SHACL only and then, when interoperability with OWL is needed, use Export Ontology as OWL File.
