Demo: Semantic standards-based solution for enterprise vocabulary management

TopBraid Enterprise Vocabulary Net™ (EVN) is an out-of-the-box web-based solution for collaborative development and management of interconnected controlled vocabularies, thesauri, taxonomies and metadata. It creates a Linked Web of enterprise vocabularies and makes it possible to reach out to external sources like the Linked Data cloud. This webinar will explore and demonstrate many of the key features of EVN.

TopBraid EVN Features

TopBraid EVN provides all the standard features you’d expect in a vocabulary management solution.  It meets the extra challenges noted above by focusing on the modularity and connectivity of vocabulary assets in order to treat controlled vocabularies as integral parts of enterprise-level information management. EVN features include:

·     Enterprise-ready - Scalable architecture offers a choice of RDF database repositories with LDAP integration for access control

Speakers

Dr. Dean Allemang, Chief Scientist at TopQuadrant, specializes in innovative applications of knowledge technology.  As an internationally recognized

expert in the Semantic Web, he was keynote speaker at RuleML-2006 and SemTech 2010. For the past seven years, he has led TopQuadrant's semantic technology  training series, and is co-author (with Prof. Jim Hendler) of the popular practitioners' book Semantic Web for the Working Ontologist.
 

Bob DuCharme, Semantic Solutions Architect at TopQuadrant,  performs solution requirements and architecture analysis, design, and semantic model-driven application development on

TopBraid EVN and the TopBraid platform for a wide range of TopQuadrant's global clients.  He is a recognized expert on XML,  author of several books including Manning Publications' "XSLT Quickly" and Prentice Hall's "XML: The Annotated Specification"   and has written numerous pieces for O'Reilly Network's XML.com and many other online venues. Bob is a frequent contributor to TopQuadrant's blog and publishes his own popular blog.
