Supported Platform Configurations
|
TopBraid Suite (TBS) Platform Requirements:
Current releases of TBS run only on platforms (and new releases thereof) that commercially support Eclipse 3.6.0 (Helios release), Flash 10, and compliant servlet containers (such as Tomcat) to run as fully tested production releases.
OS platform support is dependent on the Target Environments
supported by Eclipse, see details at CURRENTLY SUPPORTED PLATFORMS*TopBraid Suite is deployed as a servlet application and provides capabilities for integrating data from a number of data sources. TopBraid Suite consists of three components: TopBraid Composer™ (modeling and application development), TopBraid Ensemble™ (web application assembly toolkit) and TopBraid Live™ (enterprise application platform). The following tables show the list of currently supported platforms for each of these components and supported data stores. * Please contact TopQuadrant at composersupport@topquadrant.com for information concerning other configurations meeting the general requirements. TOPBRAID PRODUCTSTopBraid ComposerTopBraid Composer Standard Edition and TopBraid Composer Maestro Edition run as stand-alone applications. Composer is an enterprise-class IDE (based on Eclipse) with comprehensive support for developing ontologies and building Semantic Web applications. The following platforms are supported.
* The TopBraid Live Personal Server feature of TBC-ME is not supported on Windows 7 Home Edition, and may not work correctly.
TopBraid EnsembleTopBraid Ensemble is a client-side Web application that uses Adobe Flex user interface components. Ensemble is a browser-based application. The following browsers are supported.
TopBraid LiveTopBraid Live is an enterprise application server platform for deploying Semantic Web Applications. Currently supported server
platforms include the following. We recommend the use of 64
bit Linux-based systems and Java. For configurations requiring use of
* Please contact TopQuadrant concerning use of Windows Server 2008. **Ubuntu 9.10 may not work. *** Tomcat 6.0.28 or higher is recommended. Tomcat 7 is currently not supported. Please contact TopQuadrant concerning other Web Application Servers. SUPPORTED DATABASES, DATA SOURCES AND INFERENCE ENGINESSupported Repository Database ConfigurationsTopBraid Composer and Live support a number of native RDF data stores, including the following:
* Deletion of TDB files from TopBraid Suite is known not to work on Windows ** Others include: MySQL, jTDS (Microsoft SQL Server, and Sybase) *** Tier-1 support: TopBraid Composer and TopBraid Live. TQ does regular testing for the indicated platform(s). *** Tier-2 support: TopBraid Composer only.
Issue(s) for the platform(s) under this tier will be addressed when
reported by customer(s). We do not actively test against these
platform(s). TopBraid Suite supports a number of relational stores using D2RQ and Jena SDB. These include the following: Major: Included in test suite for TopBraid Suite (TBS). Minor: Not currently included in TBS test suite, but are known to work. Third-Party: Supported by third-parts software (SDB, D2RQ), but untested with TBS.
Supported Data SourcesTopBraid Composer and Live support a variety of data sources. The following data sources are supported.
Supported Inference EnginesTopBraid Composer has configurable support for inference. Supported inference engines are the following.
