Release Plan and Objectives
TopBraid Suite 3.4 introduces the  TopBraid Enterprise Vocabulary Net ™ (EVN) solution, which builds on the core capabilities of the TopBraid platform.   Additionally, it provides a number of enhancements to all TopBraid products (see Key New Features); in this regard, it is a minor release containing incremental improvements to the capabilities of TopBraid Suite (TBS).

TopBraid EVN is a flexible, web-based solution for managing taxonomies and business vocabularies in support of a variety of business objectives such as content delivery, search, navigation, data integration and disambiguation of terms.  EVN runs on the TopBraid Live Enterprise server. It is also included with the TopBraid Composer Maestro Edition enabling TopBraid Composer users to try EVN without purchasing and installing the enterprise server.

EVN features include:

  • Intuitive browser-based user interface supporting all key vocabulary editing and development activities including cloning and merging of concepts, creation of new classes and properties, mass edit operations.

  • Robust search, query and browsing capabilities.

  • Editing and review of multiple working copies of a vocabulary without affecting the production vocabulary until changes are published.

  • Appropriate level of access to vocabularies and working copies for different staff members depending on their respective assigned roles.

  • Change tracking - triple level audit trail of all changes is an important new feature developed to support TopBraid EVN and made available in 3.4 as a part of the TopBraid platform.

  • A variety of pre-built reports and exports.

  • Ease of extensibility using TopQuadrant's TopBraid platform for customization or addition of capabilities and look-and-feel
